OAH Relocates Annual Meeting

The Organization of American Historians will relocate its annual conference from San Francisco to San Jose, Calif., because of a hotel labor dispute, the group announced last week. The San Francisco Hilton, where the conference had been scheduled to be held, is one of the hotels that is the object of a boycott organized by Unite Here Local 2, a labor union in San Francisco.The historians' organization said it surveyed 900 potential conference participants last week and found that 75 percent
