Number of Students Transferring From Community Colleges to Elite Institutions Plunges
Selective four-year colleges enroll a smaller percentage of transfer students than they did 20 years ago, despite the growing number of students who start their postsecondary education at community colleges.
That was the major finding of a national study released in June by the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation.
