Number of Female Coaches Plunges Even as Women's Sports Teams Boom, Report Says
While the number of women's teams in college sports is at an all-time high, the representation of women as coaches of women's sports is plummeting, according to the latest update of a 29-year-old survey.
The survey, known as "Women in Intercollegiate Sport," is conducted annually by R. Vivian Acosta and Linda Jean Carpenter, professors emeriti at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York.
