'Nuanced Approach' Needed for Tax Rules Governing College Sports, Expert Says

The federal government could take a cue from its regulation of charitable organizations and apply similar strategies to monitor the freewheeling fiscal habits in big-time college athletics, a leading tax lawyer said on Tuesday.
