Notre Dame Won't Alter Anti-Bias Policy to Include Sexual Orientation
The University of Notre Dame's Board of Trustees decided this month not to alter the Roman Catholic institution's non-discrimination policy to include sexual orientation. The decision upset a group of more than 70 students who held a hunger strike for three days.
Some students and professors had asked officials to expand the policy to recognize the rights of gay people on the campus.
