Notre Dame College of New Hampshire Will Shut Down
Despite efforts to stave off financial troubles, New Hampshire's Notre Dame College will close at the end of the academic year, a victim of falling enrollment.
The Board of Trustees of the Roman Catholic, liberal-arts institution voted last month to shut it down on May 31, after 51 years of operation.
"We're tuition-driven, as many small colleges are, and when you don't have critical mass, things can go awry very quickly," said Patrick Duffy, who served for 10 years as a trustee
