Northwestern U. Will Use Advanced Video to Carry C-Span on Internet2
Northwestern University announced last month that it would be providing live, high-quality C-Span and C-Span 2 broadcasts 24 hours a day to anyone with an Internet2 connection. Internet2 researchers described the announcement as a milestone in their efforts to develop advanced Internet education and research capabilities.
Even colleges with fast computer networks, the researchers say, run into trouble when they try broadcasting digital-video signals to many students in many classrooms
