North Dakota's Colleges and Government Plan to Share Information System
In an unusual pooling of resources, college and government officials in North Dakota have agreed to buy and share a consolidated information system that could cost the state more than $30-million. The higher-education system will pay 60 percent of the cost, and the government will pay 40 percent.
The new system, which is being purchased from PeopleSoft Inc., will manage financial, human-resources, and student data for the entire state government and for all 11 public higher-education
