No University Status for College in West Bank
Ariel College, an Israeli institution in the West Bank, appears unlikely to get university status any time soon.
Israel's Minister of Education, Yitzhak Levy, had planned to ask the full Cabinet to approve the change (The Chronicle, January 22), but decided not to when the idea was criticized by top university administrators and by opposition members of the Knesset, the country's parliament.
