No, Not *That* Interim Chancellor

The interim chancellor of Alabama’s beleaguered system of two-year colleges resigned today, after only two months on the job, the Associated Press reported.

That’s Renee D. Culverhouse, not to be confused with Thomas E. Corts, who resigned as the system’s interim chancellor in February, after only seven months in office.

Ms. Culverhouse cited chronic health problems as the reason for her departure. State leaders, including Gov. Bob Riley, had recently questioned her willingness to clean up the college system, which is under investigation by state and federal authorities. —Elyse Ashburn
