A grand jury in Durham County, N.C., issued no public indictments today in the Duke University men’s lacrosse case. Lawyers for some of the lacrosse players had expected the district attorney to bring the case before the grand jury as early as today (The Chronicle, April 14). Possible indictments may be under seal, or the grand jury may hear the case at its next session, scheduled for two weeks from today.
