No-Confidence Vote for President of 2-Year College in Oregon

Faculty members at Southwestern Oregon Community College have voted no confidence in Judith M.L. Hansen, the institution’s president since 2005, according to The Register-Guard, in Eugene, Ore.

Citing a broad range of complaints about restructuring at the college, faculty members called for Ms. Hansen’s ouster and an investigation of her conduct. The newspaper reported that the vote occurred Tuesday during a “three-hour meeting rife with shouting matches and tearful diatribes.” —Paul Fain
