No-Bid Contracts Bring Scrutiny to N.J. Health-Sciences University
The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey is under legislative pressure to clean up its management practices. John J. Petillo, its president, says he is aggressively dealing with allegations of financial wrongdoing at the four-campus health-sciences university. But some legislators are calling for further measures and even for more oversight of New Jersey's entire higher-education system.
"The objective is total transparency in our day-to-day operations," Mr. Petillo said
