Newspaper Adviser Fails to Sway Judge
A former adviser to the student newspaper at Kansas State University did not prove that his removal last year from the job violated his First Amendment rights, a federal judge ruled this month in dismissing his lawsuit.
Kansas State officials declined to reappoint Ron Johnson as the adviser to the Kansas State Collegian last spring following complaints by students and faculty members about the newspaper's coverage of diversity issues.
