In the earliest voting states, students were playing a major role in shaping the direction of the 2008 presidential campaign before this week, turning out in record numbers. On Super Tuesday, when voters in 24 states cast their ballots, young voters—often seen as an elusive and fickle demographic for candidates to capture—demonstrated that their influence this election year may not be going away.
