New Zealand Releases Controversial University Rankings
The government of New Zealand released the first official report on performance-based research rankings of its universities last month, following weeks of legal wrangling with a number of the institutions. More than a year in the making, the report summarizes and grades the country's academic research across 41 different subject areas.
