New York U. Embarks on Big Campaigns -- to Raise $2.5-Billion and to Hire 125 More Professors
Becoming "the home for the next generation of intellectual leadership" is a lofty goal. Expensive, too.
New York University announced last week a seven-year campaign to raise $2.5-billion, one of the largest fund-raising efforts in higher education. The institution is also poised to hire 125 faculty members in the arts and sciences over the next five years.
