New York State Approves $600-Million for Stem-Cell Research
New York State is set to become a major player in stem-cell research.
As part of a budget passed late last month, lawmakers agreed to establish a $600-million Empire State Stem Cell Trust Fund, which will make New York second only to California in the amount of state money dedicated to such research.
