New School Adjuncts Get Union Contract

Hours before part-time professors at the New School were set to go on strike on October 31, the adjuncts' union and the university arrived at their first-ever collective-bargaining agreement — one that the university, the union, and academic-labor experts are applauding as a landmark contract for adjuncts in American higher education.
