New Robot Helps Perform Surgeries
This surgical assistant can function well without sleep, and it doesn't complain about the pay.
Surgeons at the University of North Carolina Hospitals are raving about a robot named da Vinci. It helps remove cancerous prostates, perform hysterectomies for cervical cancers, and bypass blocked coronary arteries, among other surgeries.
