New PAC to Bolster Warchests of Research-Friendly Lawmakers
If money talks, scientists may be getting a louder voice in Washington.
Three science-policy advocates have formed U.S. Science, a political-action committee that plans to raise money for lawmakers who support research.
Based in Reston, Va., U.S. Science is the second PAC representing scientists to be created in the past three months.
Unlike SCIPAC, established in August to aid Republicans, U.S. Science promises to give money to candidates from any party. Its founders say
