New Network Offers Fast Link Between the U.S. and Europe
A new transatlantic computer link will give researchers in the United States high-speed access to colleagues in northern Europe, as well as to data at universities, research centers, and libraries there.
The new link connects Abilene -- the high-speed research network created for institutions in the Internet 2 consortium in the United States -- to the NORDUnet and SURFnet networks. NORDUnet connects
