New Head of a Media-Arts School Withdraws Amid Protest Over Alleged Fabrication
A professor who was named last month as acting dean of Columbia College Chicago's new School of Media Arts has declined the appointment, which had prompted the interim head of the journalism department to resign.
Critics on the campus were upset because the professor, Wade Roberts, had been fired as a reporter 16 years ago after being accused of fabricating an article, a charge he denies.
