New Head of U. of Nebraska at Kearney Is Lawmaker With No Academic Experience
Chancellor wanted: No experience required.
State Sen. Douglas A. Kristensen, a Republican from Nebraska, has been selected by the University of Nebraska Board of Regents to replace Gladys Styles Johnston, who is retiring as head of the Kearney campus at the end of this month. Mr. Kristensen, who has never worked in academe, represents Kearney's district in the legislature.
