New Governors to Watch
Governor's offices were up for grabs in 36 states in last week's election. Democrats won 20 races, including six of those in states that Republicans had previously led, and will now hold the top political offices in a total of 28 states. The majority of governors will be Democrats for the first time in 12 years.
Here are some of the newly elected leaders whose stances on higher education could reshape their states' policies over the next four years.
