New Federal Science-Quality Standards Worry Researchers
University researchers are nervous about a new set of standards, released by the Bush administration late last month, that govern the quality and objectivity of scientific information released by federal agencies. They worry that the rules could result in costly and time-consuming double-checking of peer-reviewed studies, which could discourage agencies from publishing them.
