The National Center for Education Statistics posted new data this morning as part of its 2005 Digest of Education Statistics. The center, which is the statistical arm of the U.S. Education Department, did not publish a report on the new data or provide other analysis. The new material has data on, among other things, the number of colleges, enrollments, and graduates, as well as educational attainment, finances, federal funds for education, attitudes on education, and education characteristics of the labor force.
