Nevada Regents Broke Open-Meetings Law

The Board of Regents of the University and Community College System of Nevada violated the state's open-meeting law when it met in November and reassigned two community-college administrators, the state's attorney general ruled last month.

In announcing his ruling, the attorney general, Brian Sandoval, also announced a lawsuit against the regents that will attempt to clarify procedures in a state that has one of the strictest open-meeting laws in the country.
