Nevada Regent Sparks Controversy
A member of the Board of Regents of the University and Community College System of Nevada, Linda C. Howard, has provoked a controversy by reviewing confidential files on two students. Another regent has called for Ms. Howard's resignation, and the university is reviewing its policies on regents' access to files.
Ms. Howard insists that her reasons for reviewing the files were legitimate, and that the criticism of her by other board members results from longstanding tension over issues
