'Nessie' Data Help Spur Changes at Several Colleges
Colleges that participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement receive an annual report showing how they stack up against peer institutions in five categories. The confidential data measures each college's level of academic challenge, frequency of active and collaborative learning, quality of interaction between students and faculty members, prevalence of enriching educational experiences, and overall supportiveness of the campus.
