Nepotism Angers Bennington Professors; New Claremont McKenna Historian Gets a High-Profile Post
Faculty members at Bennington College had just begun to get their bearings following Elizabeth Coleman's decision a few years back to restructure the college and fire 26 professors. Then the college went out and hired her son.
Professors say that while Dan Coleman, who works in the teacher-education program, is qualified for the job, it was brazen and inappropriate of the president to hire him. The move was particularly irksome, they say, because other personnel decisions she's made
