Negotiating a Passage Between Disciplinary Borders
How interdisciplinary is interdisciplinarity? As an editor, I find that question much on my mind as I read proposal after proposal trumpeting interdisciplinary methodology and claiming that a resulting book will be of interest to readers in every discipline within a mile of the topic.
