Needed Reforms to Patent Law

Goldie Blumenstyk's "Proposed Changes in Patent Law Worry Colleges" (The Chronicle, June 24) portrays academe's initial posture as one of angst and self-interest. Our contrary impression is that many leading academics welcome Congress's attention to patent reform.
