Nebraska Lawmakers Impeach Regent
The Nebraska Legislature narrowly voted last week to impeach a member of the University of Nebraska Board of Regents over purported violations of campaign-finance laws.
The unicameral legislature voted 25 to 22, with two abstentions, to adopt the resolution to impeach C. David Hergert, a regent accused of violating several election laws in his 2004 campaign for his board seat.
