National Science Foundation Promotes Research on Impact of Nanotechnology
The National Science Foundation has awarded grants to finance a network of academic researchers who will study the social implications of nanotechnology, like threats to the environment and privacy.
The awards, announced this month, represent a significant increase in federal funds for an area that some researchers argue has not been studied enough.
