NYU Strips Stipends From Some TA's
A handful of the graduate teaching assistants who are on strike at New York University received letters last month in which the administration told them that they would not get teaching assignments or stipends for the next two semesters.
The letters made good on an ultimatum issued in November by the university's president, John E. Sexton, to graduate students who did not show up for their teaching assignments in January.
