N.Y. Attorney General Investigates Effectiveness of Facebook's Efforts to Root Out Sexual Predators
The New York State attorney general's office, known for its high-profile investigations into student-lending practices and white-collar crime, has now put Facebook in its cross hairs. The office says it is investigating whether the social-networking site, which has been largely associated with college students, is "materially misleading" users about its efforts to protect them from sexual predators.
