NSF to Spend $150-Million to Run TeraGrid Network
The National Science Foundation will spend almost $150-million over five years to operate its TeraGrid high-performance computing network, the agency announced in August.
TeraGrid, which is used for research as diverse as high-energy physics and modeling the flow of blood, comprises 16 computing systems and six data-storage archives at eight member institutions, all linked by a high-speed data network.
The institutional members are Argonne National Laboratory, Indiana
