NLRB Office Approves Union at Private Tennessee College
Professors at LeMoyne-Owen College have won the right to form a union, but the administration at the private Tennessee college is refusing to bargain and continues to wage a legal battle against the effort.
This past summer, the faculty members convinced a regional director of the National Labor Relations Board that they are not managerial employees and therefore can unionize. An election was held in early September, and the faculty members voted, 43 to 4, to make the LeMoyne-Owen
