NCAA's Reaction to Suggested Reforms

The lead paragraph in Welch Suggs's "NCAA Board Rejects Idea of Creating Outside Group to Push for Reform" (September 7) characterized action taken by the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I Board of Directors -- in its review of the recent report by the Knight Foundation Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics -- as a rejection of the report's call for a coalition of presidents.
