NCAA Urges Congress to Ban Internet Gambling
The National Collegiate Athletic Association joined three other groups this month in urging a House of Representatives panel to approve legislation that would prohibit most types of Internet gambling but allow online betting on horse racing, dog racing, fantasy sports, and jai alai.
Daniel Nestel, assistant director of federal relations for the association, warned the House Commerce Subcommittee on Telecommunications, Trade, and Consumer Protection that student gambling is a growing
