NCAA Unamused by Company's Offer to Bankroll a Football Playoff

Just in case you thought there weren't enough computers involved in picking the national football champion, Gateway Inc. is trying to jump in.

The computer company began a campaign last week to persuade the National Collegiate Athletic Association to stage a game between the University of Southern California and Louisiana State University football teams to decide the "real" national champion.
