NCAA Splits Rulings in Alabama Lawsuits
A judge in Alabama has handed the National Collegiate Athletic Association a partial victory in defamation lawsuits brought against the organization by two former assistant football coaches at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
Judge Thomas S. Wilson, of Tuscaloosa County Circuit Court, dismissed several claims that NCAA officials had conspired to defame Ronald W. Cottrell, a former recruiting coordinator at Alabama.
