NCAA Rescinds Scholarships at 65 Colleges
Academic-progress rates improved at many institutions
Ninety-nine teams from 65 colleges will lose scholarships over the next year, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced last week as part of its plan to punish college-sports programs with poor academic records.
