NCAA Punishes U. of Oklahoma
The National Collegiate Athletic Association has placed the University of Oklahoma on probation for two years and accepted several penalties the university imposed on its men's basketball program after finding that four former coaches made nearly 600 impermissible telephone calls to recruits between 2000 and 2004.
The NCAA also limited the recruiting privileges of the former head coach, Kelvin Sampson, in his current position as head men's basketball coach at Indiana University at
