NCAA Places U. of Dayton on Probation for 3 Years
A loan from a University of Dayton trustee to the father of a student who was being recruited by the men's basketball team will cost the university one basketball scholarship in 2001-2 and bring it three years of probation. The penalties were announced last week by the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I Committee on Infractions.
