NCAA Places Florida International U. on 4 Years' Probation for Rules Violations in 15 Sports
The National Collegiate Athletic Association has placed Florida International University on probation for four years after finding that the institution awarded more athletic scholarships than it was permitted to in three sports, and allowed 45 athletes in a total of 15 sports to compete while ineligible.
