NCAA Penalizes U. of Washington for Recruiting Violations
The National Collegiate Athletic Association last week placed the University of Washington on probation for two years, took a scholarship away from the men's basketball team, and imposed other penalties after an assistant coach admitted to violating the association's rules on recruiting.
