NCAA Penalizes Texas A&M University at Kingsville Over Eligibility Violations
The National Collegiate Athletic Association this month penalized one institution in Division II for breaking N.C.A.A. rules, and shot down the appeal of another.
The Division II Committee on Infractions placed Texas A&M University at Kingsville on probation for two years, banned its football team from postseason play for one year, and reduced the number of football scholarships it can award through the 2002-3 academic year.
