NCAA Penalizes Tennessee State U.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association placed Tennessee State University's men's basketball program on three years' probation last month, following an investigation that revealed violations of rules governing recruitment, off-season practices, and ethical conduct under the former head coach.
Tennessee State also will lose one scholarship in the 2004-5 academic year and one in 2005-6, and will face limits on the number of prospective players it may bring to the campus during those
